We offer competitive compensation and benefits and are searching for innovative people to join our teams. Tetra Techs Boynton Beach office has an opening for a Coastal Engineering intern. The interns primary responsibility will be to support engineers and scientists in coastal/waterfront projects, including beach nourishment, coastal storm impact analyses, coastal structures, small craft and port facilities. The successful candidate will assist engineers and marine scientists in the office and field through the collection and analysis of data, the development and implementation of monitoring plans; as well as assisting in the planning and design of coastal facility and restoration projects. This position provides the opportunity to work in both professional and field settings, allowing for the opportunity to use problem solving skills to develop solutions for coastal challenges. Responsibilities: * Assist in preparing and documenting engineering calculations and analysis in support of coastal projects. * Assist in preparing standard documents such as reports, regulatory applications and other technical documents.

    • Perform site visits to document and observe coastal project construction. Assist in obtaining state and federal permits. Qualifications * At least two years of college and actively enrolled in a coastal engineering program or related field of study. * Availability to work required schedule * Strong attention to detail * Ability to follow directions and safety conscious * Valid Drivers License * Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel and PowerPoint * Some experience with coastal modeling and analysis tools preferred * Scuba diving certification preferred For more information on our company, please visit our website at www.tetratech.com.
