This 10 to 12-week internship program will take place in Charlotte, NC during the summer of 2022. What you’ll do on a typical day:Participate in the company’s development process to analyze client requirements, determine fit and customizations, develop proposals and gather supporting data for cost estimatesSupport the project manager for system implementations, upgrades and continued support, including documenting implementation plans, configuring systems and training usersDevelop detailed functional specifications for modifications, defect corrections, enhancements and user documentationPerform process and data modelingWork with end users to perform user acceptance testing on system changes before they are releasedWhat you need to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you’ll need:Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in a STEM-based field (ie. Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, Applied Math, Statistics, etc.)2 years of relevant courseworkIt’d be great if you also have:Class status as a junior (3rd year) or greater2 or more years of relevant software development courseworkSolid technical competency in coding and testing; good object-oriented programming language skillsSelf-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as neededAbility to be open-minded and receptive to feedback in an intellectually-rigorous environmentStrong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve problemsGood organizational skills with the ability to multitaskGreat verbal and written communication skillsBe part of something big. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
