We are looking for an exceptional graduate-level SCIENTIST who can...

• Provide technical support in the analysis, design, and testing of advanced breakthrough technologies in the areas of remote plasma sources, reactive gas generators, flow and pressure measurement.

• The person must be able to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment and work on multiple concurrent cross-functional projects.

• A successful candidate must be highly self-motivated and hands-on with a can-do mentality. An excellent understanding of chemistry and applied physics, with an emphasis on chemical precursors and their role in various processes such as gas-phase reactions and chemical vapor deposition, is highly desired.

• Analyze trends in semiconductor industry process chemistries with a focus on potential plasma source applications.

• Work with a senior scientist to characterize the performance and behavior of various plasma sources for a variety of industrial applications.

• Design and set up test benches, perform experiments, collect and analyze data to achieve project objectives with an emphasis on plasma-materials interaction and product characterization in various process gases.

• Identify and troubleshoot problems in prototypes.

• Interface with product engineering and cross-functional teams as required.

What will you bring to the team, along with your inquisitiveness:

• Enrollment in a graduate program specializing in Materials Science, Physics, or Chemistry.BS in these areas is required

• Expected graduation date of December 2023 or May 2024

• Hands-on skills in an R&D laboratory are required.

• Familiarity with semiconductor chemistries and processes are desired, specifically gas-phase interactions, surface deposition processes, and vacuum chemistries.

• Basic understanding of plasma chemistry/physics, materials chemistry, materials processing, thin film and coating principles desired. Strong analytical capability is a must.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be versed in using MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

• Proficiency with MATLAB desirable.

• Qualified candidates should be US Persons.
