($17.00 + $3.00 WIRE DIFFERENTIAL + PAY FOR EXPERIENCE)
DAYS/HOURS: Monday to Thursday 11-7pm, Friday 8-5pm
OPPORTUNITIES FOR OVERTIME MAY BE AVAILABLE
$2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS IF HIRED
The job of Wire Cutter at Viking Electric is to take on the physically and mentally demanding responsibilities involved in wire cutting including receiving, storing, picking, cutting and shipping of wire, cable and related material. This job requires a strong attention to the fine details to accurately cut wire to correct lengths for customer's specific jobs and applications.
Other job duties and responsibilities include:
- Perform & prepare wire and cable cuts for shipment; maintain the wire aisle in an orderly manner; log and use wire shorts as required.
- Load, unload, and move material in a safe manner manually or by using forklift, reach truck, order picker, pallet jack, handcart, or other device.
- Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize, and route material for delivery or storage.
- Complete paperwork, documentation, and data input in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong math and reading skills.
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills for shipping and receiving purposes
- Ability to work within a team and provide help where needed
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and perform physical functions of cutting wire
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to complete assigned work and meet deadlines
Required Experience
- Experience with warehouse operations.
- Forklift ( Stand Up and Sit Down)/ Industrial equipment experience preferred
