    Intern, Student Technician SUMMARY Student Maintenance Interns

    report to their respective Lead Mechanic and are ultimately responsible to the Director of Maintenance. It will be the responsibility of the mechanic to perform assigned duties safely and in a manner that will ensure the airworthiness of the aviation product maintained. **This is a part-time position working no more than 20 hours per week. ** Hours could be: Mon-Fri - 4 hrs./day or Sat & Sun - 10 hrs./ day ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ** ** ? Only perform those duties for which they have been properly trained and certified. ? Maintain personal tools in a condition that will not compromise the condition of the product being maintained. ? Only allow authorized personnel to inspect the work that they have performed. ? Complete all paperwork in accordance with the procedures outlined in the RSQM. ? Maintain the work area in a clean and safe manner. ? Adhere to the policies and procedures set forth for AAR employees. ? All other duties as assigned. ** ** SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. Minimum coursework successfully completed: ? General Aviation Maintenance ? Materials, Processes and Welding ? Aircraft Sheetmetal ? Composite and Nonmetallic Structures ? English Composition I ? Math 100 level Preferred additional coursework successfully completed: ? Introduction to Electricity ? Hydraulics and Pneumatics ? Aircraft Systems ? Aircraft Electrical ? Speech **PHYSICAL DEMANDS ** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
