    Specialist, Internal Comms **SUMMARY: ** The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for assisting in the establishment and coordination of all internal communications functions in accordance with policies, regulations, and AARs sound business practices. This role will also assist with internal communications, AARs CSR coordination and communication and the use of consistent branding. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * This position is part of the Corporate Marketing & Communications team ensuring all internal communication efforts reflect the Company's mission, vision, principles and strategy goals as well as share information with the internal audience and to support the department and Company's efforts. * Specifically, this position will write and create internal materials/tools, manage relationships with internal stakeholders - especially HR and senior leadership, coordinate, monitor, analyze and measure the effectiveness of our internal communication as well as develop and maintain the Company's intranet. * In addition, this role will assist Corporate Marketing & Communications team members with video material, editing, product marketing, and event coordination. * Serve as company resource for all company-wide internal communications and assist with Company branding efforts including but not limited to signage, giveaways/customer gifts. * Coordinate and administer, with direction, the long-range strategic internal communication planning activities including the identification and possible development of new employee communications channels/technology. * Write and distribute e-mail communications to employees company-wide and specific to headquarters. * Distribute press releases via internal communication channels. * Write for executives, as well as solicit and edit content from locations/facilities worldwide, for Company Intranet and related activities. * Coordinate Intranet content, design, navigation, and structure in coordination with IT. * Assist with employee engagement to build morale by helping HR to manage Company wellness programs and volunteer events/programs. * Photograph Company events and employees, as well as assist/create videos for internal promotion and possible use on social media. * Use Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite to help design promotions for employee and customer events * Collaborate with other departments on a project-required basis. Additional Activities: * Work with Marketing team on updating/creating content and identifying PR tools * Support corporate tradeshows and events by gathering and coordinating information for internal materials and messages to promote, etc. * Collaborate with other departments on a project-required basis * All other duties as assigned **CORE COMPETENCIES: ** * Commitment to company values and ethics * Dependability: personally responsible, completes work in a timely manner, and performs tasks accurately * Motivation: must maintain a positive attitude, high team orientation and strong work energy * Organization: very detail oriented and always comes prepared * Communication: excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills * Creativity: makes constructive suggestions and creates novel solutions to problems; evaluates new technology as potential solutions to existing problems **QUALIFICATIONS: ** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: * Strong writing skills, video shooting and editing knowledge a plus. * Exceptional writing, editing and presenting skills * Strong editing background with AP Style * Proficient with Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Word and Excel Experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, Final Cut Pro, iMovie and social media platforms a plus * Excellent communication strategies and all-around communicator. * Experience working closely with senior management a plus. * Ability to multitask and handle major disruption while managing multiple projects * Detailed oriented, organized and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 1-3 years of full-time experience in a similar position/role **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: ** * Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university. * Journalism, Communications, Public Relations and/or Marketing major/degree preferred **PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: ** The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
