We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, be a proactive problem-solver, and display high personal integrity. The successful candidate will be capable of working effectively in a team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with management and across departments to accomplish tasks, resolve issues, and generate efficiencies.
- Prepares journal entries and reconciles ledger accounts monthly.
- Captures and classifies cost data to determine the cost associated with products/product lines, projects, or departments.
- Coordinates with Sales, Engineering, and Production to create cost estimates for sales quotes.
- Generates and analyzes financial reports to identify trends and variances.
- Supports Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff through review of sub-ledger postings.
- Reconciles finished goods inventories, WIP, raw materials and ledger accounts as assigned.
- Performs monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assists in Annual Financial audit, providing necessary documentation, and Annual Budgeting processes.
- Assists in month-end close and preparation of financial statements.
- Assists in the development of cost standards for materials and labor.
- Assists with payroll processes and completion of payroll journal entries and reconciliation.
- Participates in physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.
- Assists with Payroll processes and posting of Payroll journal entries and reconciliation.
- Will train to take ownership of the bi-weekly payroll process.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Epicor or other manufacturing ERP system preferred.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel required.
- Strong attention to detail and high personal integrity required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a desire to learn and grow within the organization.
