Accounts Payable Manager

As the Finance Manager for Rolls-Royce you will be responsible for the supervision of (North American Finance Service Center) NAFSC personnel working in accounts payable within GBS Finance Operations. As the manager you will provide training and direction to the (Accounts Payable) A/P staff. You will also have the opportunity to develop recommendations to improve performance and assist in setting Accounts Payable department policies and procedures for the NAFSC in line with the global process. You must be able to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally on occasion.

Key Accountabilities:

• Participate in strategic initiatives to improve cost and delivery of AP services as a part of overall transformation with the Accounts Payable (Global Process Owner) GPO, Purchasing, (Rolls-Royce North America) RRNA finance leaders and respective leaders of Global Business Services.
• Review and approve weekly payment run for all company codes. This includes submitting forecast of payments to US Treasury.
• Complete any required SAP vendor set-up for 8500 company code and add LibertyWorks vendors to Coupa with overall responsibility for overseeing timely processing and payment of supplier invoices for LibertyWorks.
• Review processes to identify areas for improvement for on time supplier payments and ensure payments are not being completed early.
• Oversee process of completing 1099 and 1042 mailings for 8500 company code.
• Ensure GBS India are reconciling AP general ledger accounts and reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner and support internal and external audit requests as needed

Basic Requirements:

• Associate degree with 7+ years accounts payable or finance experience OR, Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years accounts payable or finance experience OR, Master’s Degree with 3+ years accounts payable or finance experience OR, JD/PhD OR, Experience in Lieu of degree with 9+ years accounts payable or finance experience.
• To consider this role, you should be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.

Preferred Requirements:

• Prior accounts payable experience
• Previous role in a shared services environment
• Experience with automating and/or improving accounts payable processes
• SAP experience
