Avanzar Interior Technologies Ltd., an Adient joint venture, is seeking Manufacturing Engineer to work with customers, suppliers and product engineers on projects involving seat assembly and related processes; coordinate project work and problem solving activities related to seat manufacturing processes and products; develop and implement seats related processes, methods, tools, equipment, and controls for manufacturer of products and components consistent with obtaining and maintaining design integrity, optimum costs, quality, inventories, and investment in facilities; participate in product design activity to assure optimum productivity and costs, suggest alternative designs, materials, and processes; identify and recommend most practical and economical manufacturing processes, including material, labor, tooling, equipment, and ancillary factors; select and develop tooling and equipment to satisfy manufacturing requirements and product design intent; research and implement new technologies to assure product design is manufactured in most capable/cost effective manner; review blue prints and specifications to determine optimal manufacturing methods for parts and/or assembly meet tolerances and quality requirements; apply continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles within engineering systems, maintain plant layout to ensure it is up-to-date in AutoCAD, and prepare FMEA for assigned areas. Utilize experience with lean manufacturing processes implementation; seat assembly manufacturing engineering, quality, and production; Kaizen; experience providing direct engineering support to customers, operations teams, suppliers, contractors and product engineering organization; problem Solving tools including 8D's, Kepner Tregoe, and 5 Why; and, experience with CAD to update layout and design tools/equipment. #external Qualifications Education and experience requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer, quality engineer or a related occupation. Experience must have included: three (3) years of experience with the following: lean manufacturing processes implementation; seat assembly manufacturing engineering, quality, and production; Kaizen; experience providing direct engineering support to customers, operations teams, suppliers, contractors and product engineering organization; and, problem solving tools including 8D's, Kepner Tregoe, and 5 Why; and, two (2) years of experience with CAD to update layout and design tools/equipment.
