Responsibilities Summary:The Supply Chain Intern role is a training role developed to expose upcoming college graduates to the Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) Supply Chain processes and procedures. This includes Demand Management (DM), Inventory Analysis, Advanced Supply Planning tools (LP/MIP models), S&OP, and Metrics. This position will provide analytical, model testing, and implementation support to the current Supply Chain projects. This person will also develop their business knowledge with the potential opportunity to become a fulltime employee with the Supply Chain team or other related areas of the business within ADS. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Demand Management (DM) process: support of demand manager and the DM tools and processes. Analyze the statistical forecast engines for improvement of the system generated forecast. Ensure the monthly forecasting cycle is accurate and effective. Do on-demand validation and analysis of model results and predictions. Inventory Management (IM) process: Accountable for detailed analytics involving inventory build strategy.Supply Planning tools: Analyze the results and insure the tools are producing a quality optimized short and long term Master production Schedule. Review and manage constraints as directed. Run and analyze business requested scenarios.Logistics Transportation & Management (LTM): Analyze the results of the monthly models and newly created scenarios. Summarize results as needed. Run and analyze existing plan process metrics. Track and review results providing detailed information to Key Users.Support of the Material Resource Planning (MRP) used to replenish raw materials. Candidate will learn the various MRP techniques used within Oracle.Track and provide updates to the task and projects they have been assigned.This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:Desire to learn supply chain process, self-motivated and task driven, good at problem solving, strong speaking and presentation abilities, proficient in Microsoft office suite, advanced excel abilities, presentation building and good written communication skills.Educational Requirements:Currently persuing or recently completed a Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain or Logistics.Preferred Exposure:Supply Chain and logistics data analysis, interpretation of results, and preparing presentations.Interaction with other Departments or Business units working on common projects. Data Visualization-using data to tell a story and persuade others towards best practices.Training with Supply Chain processes and models.Desired Education Experiences:Understanding of basic process modeling, forecasting concepts and strategies, analyzing large amounts of data, theory of safety stocks and inventory, logistics concepts and ideas and individual and team project exposure.
