    ABOUT THE ROLE

    We are looking for our next KEY ACCOUNT SPECIALIST (KAS) to join the outside sales team based in the city of ATLANTA, GA "Best Places to Live" U.S. News & World Report. This diverse talent will spearhead market growth and showcase our customers’ market-leading products through planning, execution, and results.

    This position is responsible for new business within an assigned demographic market area (DMA) and will receive assigned accounts and leads. The focus will be market penetration for our clients, lead generation, and acquiring new customers.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Influence without authority; develop relationships with key foodservice leaders.
    • Prospect and hunt for new business within a defined territory.
    • Update every customer touchpoint within our cloud-based CRM, with utmost data integrity for our clients.
    • Manage CRM pipeline and sales activity with an ability to accurately forecast.
    • Design and implement innovative selling solutions that deliver a seamless selling cycle.
    • Partnership with Marketing, Business Intelligence, and people resources teams.
    • Passionately convey the Affinity Group’s value proposition to all customers.
    • Work prospects to quantify opportunities via a strategic needs analysis (sales plan).
    • Grow a strong understanding of key differentiators within the competitive landscape.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Credibility: 2-3 years of sales experience and a proven track record of success closing new business, relationship management, and/or inside/outside sales.
    • Technology: Must be tech-savvy to conduct virtual demonstrations that showcase product design and brand vision. We are not an “old school” selling culture!
    • Relationships: Positive demeanor, with a teachable attitude that connects with diverse audiences.
    • Creative: Design creative menu combinations in support of the selling cycle.
    • Business Development: Ability to cold-call, market prospecting, and manage the sales pipeline.
    • Prioritization: Multi-tasking within a constantly changing environment, while maintaining a hyper-focus on producing new customers is a must.
    • Urgency: Operates well in fast-moving environments, with minimal oversight.
    • Teachable: A passion for self-learning; constant and never-ending improvement.
    • Analytical: Data-driven and selling are in the details for strategic sales planning.
    • Foodservice management experience or chef/culinary certification is a plus.
    • MVR: Must have active Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    • Typical workweek runs Mon thru Fri (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.)
    • During the food trade show season, this position will require the ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to safely lift case goods (20-25 lbs.)
    • Travel: Position requires daily travel via personal motor vehicle to various sites.
    • Overnights: 4-5x month (pre-COVID). 1-3x month (COVID).
