Interacts with analysts internal and external to the Quality Control group within CMC Biologics. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Works on QC tasks of a more diverse scope, requiring regular analysis and evaluation of data. Uses judgment within defined QC practices to determine methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Work on several concurrent experiments or projects. Demonstrated strong understanding of assigned QC methods and GMPs. Technical understanding of assays and procedures. Consistently performs and troubleshoots own assays or procedures. May assist in validation/ qualification/development studies. Routinely complies with company documentation practice. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Strong understanding of basic scientific concepts in one or more areas. Experience in a GMP environment. An understanding of the concepts of high performance liquid chromatography (SEC, IEX, RP). Experience with chromatography systems (Waters/Empower, Agilent/Chromeleon). Experience with imaged capillary electrophoresis (iCE3) a plus. Ability to understand analytical/technical data. Good mathematical skills. Clear, concise writing skills. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology or other relevant discipline or equivalent work experience. 2-5 years of relevant experience.
