In the process, you will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from other Agilent scientists with a broad range of expertise. A successful candidate will have experience preparing mammalian cells for proteomics, metabolomics, and/or lipidomics LC-MS analysis. A firm background in sample preparation protocols for downstream LC-MS analysis is key. Experience with LC-MS method development for separations, data interpretation and quantitative methodologies would be beneficial for generating data as well as communicating results and processes. The role of this position will be to develop new, more efficient methods for sample preparation to enable higher throughput, more robust, and faster access to proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics samples for LC-MS analysis. Travel Required No Secondary Locations Duration 4-6 months Region Americas Requirements Required Qualifications: * MS in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biology or equivalent. * Hands-on experience preparing mammalian cells for proteomics, metabolomics and/or lipidomics LC-MS analysis * Ability to work independently and to execute and troubleshoot new sample preparation methods * Proficiency with mammalian cell culture techniques, including splitting cells, counting cells, and treating cells with compounds (e.g. 13C glucose) * Experience with LC-MS, including preparing samples and mobile phases, starting a sequence, and monitoring a sequence in progress * Excellent record keeping, teamwork and communication skills * Computer literacy including proficiency with Word and Excel Desired Qualifications: * Hands-on experience with LC-MS based proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics workflows * Experience maintaining LC-MS instrumentation, e.g. tuning MS, conditioning LC columns, passivating LC systems * Familiarity with Agilent LC-MS instrumentation and software platforms Agilent Technologies, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
