Based in Seoul and Singapore with two antennas in Tokyo and Shanghai, ALGEM manages sourcing, procurement and international logistics for globally and regionally traded materials (SiH4, NF3, Neon, etc..), all regions included (Asia/Europe/US/Middle-East). In line with NEOS, ALGEM scope will continue to expand with an activity growth of around +20%/year. This activity growth involves both base business expansion as well as take over of direct purchasings from affiliates. To support this fast development, ALGEM needs to have a strong team for developing Sourcing & Logistics operations as well as supporting affiliates to grow new business for AL. - To achieve successful ALGEM scope expansion and its stabilized operations taken place in Japan, ALGEM Asset Specialist main mission is to ensure reliable and efficient rotation of assets (Cylinders, ISO, ... etc) within Japan for all products purchased by ALGEM. He/She is the main accountable person to ensure smooth assets monitoring for ALGEM in Japan. the ALGEM Asset Specialist is responsible for: 1. Smooth Supply Chain Operations in Japan The scope covers the monitoring of assets for all AL Affiliates orders placed to ALGEM with a sourcing in Japan 2. Coordinate Assets operations activity in Japan closely working with AL Japan export team, Tsukuba operations team and AL Affiliates for empty container import and full container export business. Business scope covers: - Traded products purchased through Japanese suppliers (Trichemical, KDK, Zeon, ...etc) - AL Japan in house products - ALAM products in the future. 3. Monitor Asset Rotations in Japan for ALGEM - Being the Main Contact window for Affiliates and Japan Gas Suppliers for Asset management - She/He also should be able to communicate with cross functional team such as logistics & planning, procurement, Business and QHSE within ALGEM organization to achieve ALGEM goal such as Safety, Quality, Reliability and Efficiency target. 4. Ensure timely and accurate communication to AL Affiliates regarding Asset Status in Japan (Arrival of Empty packaging at Supplier Site, Maintenance Readyness, Available Pool, ... etc) Duties & Accountabilities: Import and Export Operations in Japan Monitor day to day operational activity taken place in Japan for Asset Tracking ERP daily transaction and monitor - GIDEONS Control and monitor the arrival date and Packaging quantity of all the empty shipments imported to Japan in accordance with Affiliates needs ensuring continuity of supply in a efficient way Coordinate cylinder tracking bridge in between Affiliates, Gas Suppliers and local customs broker to meet affiliate needs and tax exemption Validate the quantity ordered to Japan Gas Suppliers checking the available assets pool working closely with ALGEM Logistics & Planning Team Planning Coordinate with the Affiliates and ALJ export Team, the good execution of the shipping quantity as planned Provide timely and accurately all relevant and needed information to AL Affiliates (Asset Status, Alert in case of discrepancies, ... etc ) Provide timely and accurately all relevant and needed information to the Gas Suppliers in Japan (Asset Status, Alert in case of discrepancies, ... etc ) Monitor the status of the Asset pool in Japan through the ALGEM tools (Order Tracking File, NAVAL, Gideons reports, Cylinder Master Data) on a daily basis Compliance and continuous improvement Cross functional work with logistics & planning, procurement, Business and QHSE within ALGEM organization to achieve ALGEM goal such as Safety, Quality, Reliability and Efficiency target. Comply with International Transport of dangerous goods regulation (Road and Sea freight Transportation for Dangerous Goods) Identify the Logistics dysfunctions related to Assets (lead time of maintenance, cost, quality) and suggest actions to improve the situations. Drive efficiency exercise in improving the consolidation ratio and the empty packaging are delivered on time - Required Experience and Skills: Logistics and SCM department in Gas and Chemical industry or Freight forwarding industry Min. 3years Dangerous Goods import and export operations in Japan Min. 3years Extensive Experience in supply chain, Asset Management, logistics arrangement within the Chemical/Industrial Gas industry with a customer facing role. Knowledge of AL processed and AL business model necessary, Experience in dealing with Dangerous Goods cargoes and in Freight forwarding industry' Good communication in English, Japanese, very organized, rigorous, reliable, independent, transparent and diligent.
