  • Responsibilities

    Maintain organization's production equipment.  Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures.  Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's spcifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment etc. using hand tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.  May repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders or other machine shop equipment.

    Good knowledge of installation and repair of more complex equipment and machinery (including their lubricating and control systems, and power drives).  Ability to examine and troubleshoot to determine the extent of repairs required, materials or parts needed, and to estimate the time required to complete repairs.   Ability to interpret and apply the requirements contained in technical manuals, shop directives, multiview blueprints, and other documents in determining critical dimensions and key reference points.   Apply more senior level knowledge of machinery repair in the use and application of standard formulas, shop mathematics, trade theories, and industry practices in calculating needed materials and problem solving; and in the use of various test equipment and measuring devices such as alignment scopes, vemiers, micrometers, precision levels, transits, strobe tachometers, bearing bridge gauges, flowmeters, hydrostatic testers, and vibration analyzers.  General knowledge of setting up and operating machine tools such as small lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and precision grinders to manufacture component parts or re-machine existing parts.

    • Assists the Medical Director and Quality Improvement Coordinator in development of appropriate quality improvement programs and monitoring project outcomes.
    • Participate in inter-agency groups and meetings related to quality measures, data reporting and quality related strategic initiatives
    • Develop and maintain systems for addressing population health needs utilizing KANA approved and supported electronic platforms to meet clinical quality goals.
    • Oversee review, update and maintenance of policies and procedures; develop, and implement clinical protocols specific to all medical support staff consistent with AAAHC standards and other required regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of training and competency based systems to ensure high quality, trained staff in department; ensure adequate staffing to meet the clinic workflow and support goals, addressing scheduling, recruitment, and retention.
    • Responsible for ongoing coaching, development, and performance management and annual performance evaluations of direct reporting staff.
    • Responsible for medication management, ordering and storage and the Vaccine Management program.
    • Oversee effective supply ordering systems.  Maintaining active and real time inventory.
    • Establish accepted infection control standards and develop, implement, monitor, and revise infection control policies and procedures to assure compliance with AAAHC standards.
    • Conduct infection control risk assessments of the equipment and activities throughout the facility. Collect, analyze, and interpret infection control data, and suggest and implement strategies for improvement.
    • Educate individuals and groups about the risk, prevention, transmission, and control of infection, disease-specific care, appropriate precautions, and appropriate assessments.
    • Investigate, manage, and conduct surveillance of suspected and confirmed outbreaks of infection.
    • Notify local, state, and federal authorities about reportable diseases as required; ensure routine mechanisms for disease reporting are functioning. 
    • Develop and maintain appropriate outpatient clinic antibiotic stewardship program.
    • Manage employee health; tracking and meeting with new employees for screening and record preparation, annual reminders to health care workers to update PPD and flu vaccine, record maintenance, annual reporting to the State.
    • Review, develop, and update Employee Health policies and procedures.
    • Represent the organization with a positive, professional attitude when communicating with patients and visitors of the organization.

     

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervision of clinical nursing and clinical support staff.
