Outpatient Coding Specialist - Full Time - Health Information Services - RFR 1602

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting the Business Development team on the Consultative Sell process.
Supporting the business development team with the RFQ process by providing input into the solution section of the response document.
Involved in detailed discussions with Business Development Directors to understand current model and desired solution.
Cross divisional discussions – RRD PPSC / RRD Logistics / Packaging Redesign to ensure SCS proposals encompasses the ‘One RRD’ approach.
Provide Traceability and Comparison data to leverage across RFQ opportunities and refer to as the business engage in various stages of the opportunity.
Mapping all supply chain assumptions – materials, engineering and general business assumptions as part of bid preparation and responses.
As part of the proposal process ability to source medical devices across geographies.
Maintenance of RFQ Trackers for each new opportunity.
Works closely with the finance team to determine appropriate material acquisition costs and margin adders with associated assumptions.
Responsible for the preparation of both the internal costed Bill of Materials and external costed Bill of Materials with summary revenue roll up and comparative analysis.
Prepare a detailed materials analysis incorporating cost saving initiatives and package re-design – where necessary work directly with the packaging design engineer.
Provide a final roll up the Bill of Materials pricing, including margin, material acquisition, tooling and freight amortisation and associated assumptions from a materials and engineering standpoint for the customer.
Analysis of Customs & VAT implications for each opportunity where required.
Identification of potential areas of cost down opportunities on specific customer models – specifically materials & freight.
Validate material pricing against similar quotes & business models.
Maintenance of Freight Management Database with all inbound & outbound rates – Air / Ocean / Road for easy access and reference for all opportunities.
Development and Maintenance of Commodity Quotation Database – checklist to ensure they are tracked to the relevant database & update suppliers by region.
Development and Maintenance of Medical Supplier database.
Any other duties as allocated by manager.
