Operations manufactures and delivers Amgen therapeutics to our patients. Made up of five functions: Global Supply Chain, Operations Technology, Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering, and spread across nine sites, Operations aspiration is simple: Ensure patients have access to the Amgen products they need. Every patient, every time. As an intern in Operations you will participate in the execution of programs and initiatives to support the strategy of Operations, which includes: developing, executing, and potentially managing work plans, identifying data needs, gathering data (quantitative and qualitative), analyzing data, developing recommendations, and creating presentations around recommendations. This role will involve performing hands-on work in the plant. Basic Qualifications Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 18 years or older Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelors Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing Enrolled in a full time Bachelors or Combined Bachelors/Masters degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university Must not be employed at the time the internship starts Preferred Qualifications Degree concentration(s) in Biotechnology, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry and Structural Biology, or Chemical Engineering Only candidates who apply via http://careers.amgen.com/ will be considered.
