Background of Functional AreaBeauty Investigators develop scientific support and stories for beauty products. The Investigator team researches skincare science and ingredients, supports product claims, and communicates product science to cross-functional peers. Project DescriptionResearch technologies to support skincare product development, communicate product science to a cross-functional team, learn about the process of substantiating product claims with scientific literature and testing. Compile scientific evidence to support claims on a new product or product bundle. Candidate DevelopmentUnderstanding of skincare products and technologies, ability to translate scientific research into concrete product claims and benefits, opportunity to articulate and communicate product science to technical and non-technical audiences, exposure to the product development and claims substantiation process and global collaboration skills. Desired DegreeBachelors candidate or degree-holder. Scientific background required, experience in communication or writing is ideal. Desired SkillsCommunication (oral & verbal), collaboration, scientific research (e.g. independent research experience), ability to translate complicated scientific details into a simple story (e.g. scientific writing in coursework or experience with a scientific publication). *This is a summer 2019 internship; qualified candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and one semester or more left of school to complete at the beginning of their internship.
