Background of Functional AreaThe Reliability Sciences Center (RSC) conducts all Durable Product testing and facilitates the integration of reliability early in the product development process through data analytics and predictive capabilities. Project DescriptionThis project involves developing capabilities in failure prediction using Weibull analysis with data collected from AWS (Amazon Web services) manufacturing and field data. Applicants should have a basic understanding of the physics of failure and basic computer modeling and statistical skills. Candidate DevelopmentDeriving insights from data, exposure to the technical product development process, project management skills, presentation skills Desired DegreeBachelor or Masters degree Industrial and/or Applied Mathematics, (Physics or Applied Mechanics minor preferred but not required) Desired SkillsDemonstrated College classroom experience in data and/or statistical analysis with Python or R.
