    We are currently searching for a Process Engineer to support technology development and manufacturing deployment of new composite and plastic products, based in our Kulpsville, PA manufacturing facility.

     

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Develop molding processes for fiber reinforced thermoplastics / composites
    • Operate compression / injection molding equipment
    • Lead technical activities related to new product development efforts from tool design through prototype delivery and production planning
    • Analyze / interpret inspection data for process and tool optimization
    • Be responsible for providing manufacturing feasibility analysis for prototype and production volumes
    • Lead design for manufacturing reviews and PFMEA efforts
    • Identify manufacturing resource requirements and prepare plans for product and process realization
    • Assure proper process control documentation and lessons learned information is generated for assigned projects
    • Develop and execute manufacturing qualification plans for process validation

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Minimum 1-3 years industry experience developing & validating manufacturing processes for composite and plastic materials required. NOTE: Masters level education may substitute some or all of the industry experience. Masters level candidates with no industry experience must demonstrate strong experience through school research related work, relevant masters thesis, co-ops, interships, etc

    • Experience with compression molding and injection molding processes (including hands on operation of this equipment) highly preferred.

    • Experience related to the design/development and/or scale up of composite or thermoplastic aerostructure components highly preferred.

    • Experience characterizing polymers and/or polymer composites, their properties, and processing options preferred.

    • Experience in GD&T, Solidworks (or equivalent 3D design software) experience preferred.

    • Lean, Six Sigma Practitioner - Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

    • Working knowledge of predictive modeling desired.

       

     

     

     

    Qualifications:

    • BS degree, engineering discipline; Preference given to candidates with advanced degrees ideally in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineer
