From our North American headquarters in New Jersey, we provide direction to facilities operating in six Canadian provinces and nineteen US states. We are currently accepting resumes/applications for a Maintenance Apprentice, in our Kansas City, Missouri Facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager for the Kansas City facility, this individual is responsible for the general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all production equipment. Duties include ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the icemakers and packaging equipment, performing maintenance on production and plant equipment, maintaining records for safety and service logs for all plant equipment, maintaining schedules for preventative maintenance on all plant equipment, and assisting in the training of maintenance associates. The Maintenance Associate must also adhere to all health and safety regulations as Company and legislatively mandated, while maintaining the highest levels of sanitation for the facility. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of a Refrigeration Operator B certification and have a strong background in manufacturing and preventative maintenance. This position requires an individual who has a good understanding of refrigeration properties and physics along with proficiency using the equipment and tools required to perform maintenance activities. Knowledge of OSHA regulations for equipment safeguarding and operation, and ADA plumbing codes are required. Excellent organizational and time management skills are required in addition to basic knowledge of MS Office software. This position requires an individual who has good communication and problem solving skills, in addition to the ability to react to a fast-paced environment.
