  • Responsibilities
    • SUMMARY:

      1. Perform work according to established procedures and policies through teamwork.
      2. The Production Operator is part of the Production department and reports to the Team Leader and/or Plant Superintendent.
    • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

      1. Assure safety standards are followed at all times.
      2. Assure that quality standards are followed at all times.
      3. Adhere to the standard work instructions (SWI).
      4. Contribute fully to continuous improvement initiatives.
      5. Adhere to 5S and “World Class Housekeeping” standards.
      6. Achieve operator certification according to the plant certification process.
      7. Participate in team meetings and understands performance goals and objectives.
      8. Help to achieve team performance goals and objectives.
      9. Follow ISO14001/TS16949 documentation including, but not limited to, SWI’s, forms, work instructions, and procedures.
      10. Actively participate in self-directed work team model.
      11. Follow company rules and policies/procedures.
      12. Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as required.
      13. Perform other duties as assigned.
      14. Participate in plant recycling programs.
      15. Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by producing product to meet customer needs and expectations.
    • Health and Safety:

      1. Learn the rules; understand them; follow them; and avoid short cuts.
      2. Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself, your co-workers, and equipment free of hazards.
      3. Consistently comply with personal protective equipment requirements.
      4. Be certain to follow work instructions.

      6. Report all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to your supervisor immediately.
      7. Consider your job tasks effectively performed only if done safely.
      8. Actively participate in the health and safety program.

    It is the responsibility of the Production Associate to take appropriate action and to effectively communicate where necessary and observations which may impact Lear Tuscaloosa’s ability to manufacture a quality product and to achieve an on time delivery.

  • Qualifications

     

    PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

    • Three (3) years of experience in developing and maintaining documentation and/or data management systems, involving DOD/DON combined in the security disciplines of information, physical, operations, and special security.
    • Experience should demonstrate skills with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
    • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, to include specific Government formats and reports. Knowledge of various software applications; Lenel Enterprise Control/Intrusion Detection System (IDS) alarms, Scattered Castles, Joint Personnel Adjudicating System (JPAS) and Security Information Management System (SIMS).
    • Experience in the use of DOD/DON policies regarding physical, information, special and international security.
    • Ability to climb a ladder to perform physical security assessments.
    • All personnel providing support under this requirement must possess clearances at the SECRET level or higher. Interim SECRET clearances are acceptable.
