Summary:

PMO (Project Management Office) operates under the umbrella of GBS (Global Business Services). PMO serves the entire Sonoco organization to manage projects utilizing strong project management methodologies and tools.

We provide project management services and support to all areas of the business including manufacturing. Here is a list of some of those areas:

• Integrated business manufacturing

• Operational Excellence (OPEX)

• Commercial Excellence

• Supply Management

• IT

• GBS (Finance, Accounting, HR, Supply Management, IT, etc....)

A PMO ELP will have the opportunity to experience how the whole business operates giving a great foundation to choose a career path that best suites their strengths. PMO also offers the opportunity to continue in a career path of Project Management.

Below will be a typical ELP rotation of engagement within PMO all while participating in the ELP program leadership training and self-paced Project Management skills training:

• 6 months - Engaging with GBS Global Process Owners (GPO’s) to manage process improvement projects

• 6 months - Engaging with OPEX to manage SPS (Sonoco Performance System) projects

• 6 months - Engaging with the Integrated businesses to manage manufacturing related projects
