As a Respiratory Clinical Science Liaison, youll play a pivotal role in channelling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients lives. AstraZeneca holds a unique position in respiratory disease, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), with a range of differentiated potential medicines in development by leveraging novel combinations, biologics and devices. The pipeline also has a number of promising assets in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases within areas such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, systemic lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. Main Duties and Responsibilities The Respiratory Clinical Science Liaison will serve as a key clinical liaison to advanced practice health care providers (HCPs). The Respiratory Clinical Science Liaison will be a key member of the Respiratory Field Medical Affairs team, working in close partnership with the Respiratory Medical Science Liaisons and Field Physicians. As a Respiratory Clinical Science Liaison, you will identify and cultivate relationships with primary care providers including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical pharmacists, large group practices, respiratory institution providers, infusion center providers, and other health care providers such as physicians when appropriate. You will conduct educational programs on disease state and appropriate use of AstraZeneca products with a focus on respiratory. As a Respiratory Clinical Science Liaison you will respond to customer inquiries to ensure focused and balanced clinical and scientific information that supports the appropriate use of AstraZenecas products and services is provided as well as deliver appropriate clinical and scientific information to support appropriate use of AstraZeneca respiratory products in a patient focused manner. In addition, you will support the biologic product line and maintain expertise in disease state management, emerging therapies and the competitive landscape. As a Respiratory Clinical Science Liaison you will gather customer insights regarding AstraZeneca and competitor products to help inform medical and commercial strategies. You will also be accountable for adhering to internal standard processes and complying with regulatory and compliance requirements. Essential Requirements * Advanced Degree and/or advanced licensure or certification (i.e. NP, PA-C) * At least 3 years of direct patient care experience * Previous experience in the clinical management of respiratory disease (preferred experience in asthma and COPD) * Excellent verbal skills * Strong presentation skills including the ability to effectively communicate medical data/concepts * Outstanding interpersonal skills * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite * Ability to travel (percentage varies with geography) * Must reside in the territory Desirable Requirements * Previous pharmaceutical industry experience * Experience in biologics * Previous experience in field medical role * Certified Asthma Educator Next Steps Apply today!
