POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Mechanical Engineer Intern with Astronautics, you may perform the following design activities with oversight and guidance from senior staff members:

• Mechanical Design/Packaging activities including requirements capture, conceptual design, thermal and modal analysis, and implementation (3-D models)
• Verification activities including test definition, test execution, thermal surveys, and review of deign life cycle artifacts
• Integration activities including the integration and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies in a lab environment, support of vibration and thermal qualification tests

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Must be permanently eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2/75/4.0

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently attending UW-Milwaukee, MSOE, UW-Madison or Marquette University
• Available to work part-time during the school year
