    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    Perform effective telephone greetings. Demonstrate ability to take accurate messages. Perform Operation of Telephone systems as a switchboard operator Answer routine questions regarding departmental operations. Receive complaints and initiate response protocol Demonstrate effective communication skills. Demonstrate an understanding of Jennie Stuart Health’s locations and the layout its campuses. Demonstrate attention to detail. Plan, gather, organize and assemble data. Demonstrate knowledge of common formats for correspondence and reports. Demonstrate correct use of department specific equipment. Properly open, accurately sorts and route mail. Monitor inventory and supplies. Prepare clear and concise reports. Monitor electronic security equipment (CCTV, alarms, radio, PC's) Enforce and carry out Hospital policies and procedures. Maintain clean and orderly work space. Respond to all hospital events and codes. Maintain confidentiality. Operate alarm panels. Conduct preventive checks. Report all deficiencies noted. Perform operator maintenance as needed. Demonstrate ability to prioritize and perform multiple task. Demonstrate ability to read and write documents with accurate spelling and legible penmanship. Monitor, search, retrieve, print/distribute data from the CCTV system. Operate overhead Paging system (clear and concise). Maintain positive and professional attitude and appearance. Maintain Records (Radio, Call, Patient Log Sheets). Dispatch personnel via Radio. Maintain on-call lists for various departments. Demonstrate knowledge and implement proper procedures for hospital codes and events. Demonstrate knowledge of hospital department functions. Monitor access control systems. Patrol hospital and grounds to prevent fires, theft, vandalism and other hazards. Respond to the hospital events and codes in accordance with polices. Monitor and enforce access control protocols. Provide escorts for visitors, patients, and personnel. Report safety, fire, and security hazards observed on patrol. Maintain age specific security precautions for all age groups on shift. Maintain all equipment used. Respond to hazardous material spills. Assists visitors, patients, and staff as needed and authorized. Assists authorized personnel with morgue access/documentation. Monitor Boiler area equipment. Manage Security staff to complete required task Additional tasks/ responsibilities as needed.

    Required Skills

    MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma, Civilian or Military Training Schools preferred.

    Required Experience

    MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: One to Two years’ experience in law enforcement or security related field.
