    The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) into manufacturing from development phase through release to production, product quality monitoring and reporting, engaging in weekly product meetings, supporting new customer and/or product opportunities on a cross functional team, and supporting first time right initiatives.

    Required Skills

    • Project management of electro-mechanical NPI projects • Creates PFMEA to understand process risk analysis of new products. • Input estimated labor times and monitor actual labor times • Support design for manufacturability. • Work with process engineering to drive document completion: routings, build instructions, etc. • Facilitate pre-build meetings and drive for completion of NPI Build Readiness Checklist • Assure build materials and tools are available to meet project schedules • Support NPI builds to meet project schedule requirements • Represent manufacturing operations at weekly product meetings with cross functional team • Support new customer proposals by providing compliance information

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor of science degree in electronic or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution • Minimum two (2) years of previous NPI engineering experience • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and group presentations). • Exhibits interpersonal skills necessary to lead a team and work across the organization, respectfully • Must be a self-starter and a team player

     

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in an ISO-9001 certified manufacturing environment. • Experience with FAA certified product development and manufacturing • Experience working in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment • Experience in project management
