Our team is currently looking for a HR Administrator to join the team at our corporate office located in Dallas, Texas. The HR Administrator is responsible for processing several administrative transactions and acts as a liaison between employees and other internal departments such as Payroll, Benefits, and Human Resources. This position is primarily responsible for the administration of leave of absence and income/employment verification programs as well as providing other administrative support as needed and required. Additional specific duties and responsibilities are listed below. Responsibilities Manages all administrative aspects of the various leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, Other medical leave, personal, military, etc.) for various entities and in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, etc.) Serves as the primary contact and subject matter expert for FMLA leave administration and partners closely with HR departments on all FMLA related cases/claims. Communicates with HR and legal counsel on escalated leave cases as needed. Communicates benefits and leave information to employees, including but not limited to leave eligibility, informing employees of their rights under FMLA, collecting insurance premium payments, notifying them about leave status, claim approvals, etc. Reviews leave requests, prepares all leave communications and independently approves and/or denies leave cases based on relevant information received. Reviews cases on a frequent basis and requests additional information needed in a timely manner. Offers assistance to employees with information and explanation of leave processes, practices, and procedures, including follow-up communications and resolution to employee concerns. Monitors and tracks critical dates in the leave cycle and communicates with HR, the employee, and manager as appropriate. Maintains tracking report to ensure appropriate hours used/taken are calculated correctly. Produces and maintains leave reports as requested. Works closely with employees on leave of absence to ensure that their insurance premium payments are submitted in a timely manner. Processes and tracks insurance payments and prepares required communications as needed. Coordinates Advice to Pay program for employees on leave and tracks/reviews claim approval process to ensure that employees sick time and paid time off is reported accurately. Coordinates return to work transitions including coordination and implementation of any restrictions that may need to be accommodated. Maintains appropriate contact and communicates with employees regarding employees return to work status. Coordinates all aspects of STD and LTD disability claims. Provides vendor with documentation needed to ensure disability claims are processed in a timely manner. Updates leave of absence records in HRIS system to ensure leave of absence records are maintained and updated. Scans leave of absence files into appropriate HRIS system. Responsible for processing of all income, benefits, and employment verification requests for various entities in a timely manner. Double-checks information to ensures that all verifications are completed accurately and submitted to lenders to minimize duplicate requests and follow-ups. Processes VOEs on a daily basis, which includes research, verifying information, and submitting numerous faxes daily. Makes phone calls throughout the day and provides updates as needed or requested. Verifications include mortgage loans, wage statements, verification letters, etc. Provides additional administrative support to the People Services department as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in human resources field or equivalent 3 to 5 years of FMLA and Disability administration experience is required Working knowledge of federal and statutory laws pertaining to FMLA and ADA Superior organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks Self-directed and ability to multi-task in a high volume time-sensitive role Ability to work independently and under time constrains and deadlines Strong problem solving and follow-up skills with ability to anticipate needs Ability to handle sensitive conversations with confidentiality and professionalism Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively Ability to prepare, draft, and update sensitive communication materials Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Web-based systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bilingual (Spanish) skills preferred We offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, and a matching 401K plan.
