The ITO Facility has a current need for a Mechanical Technician intern in the Tech Support Department. This individual will receive a quarterly evaluation to determine if they are meeting the goals of the program. This internship will involve the following work activities and skills: -Strong desire to enhance working relationship between production and maintenance. -Ability to understand functionality of machine operation. -Excellent communication and teamwork skills. -Must exhibit proactive safety behavior. -Must have good listening skills and the ability to work independently. -Have a basic understanding of the Autoliv Production System (APS). Job Description: We are looking for individuals that have the ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair production equipment and assist in TPM and other preventative maintenance activities as needed. The ideal candidate will have exhibited the aptitude and desire to function successfully in this capacity through demonstrated ability in their current role and area. Candidates must be able to stand up to 12 hours per day and be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion. Preference will be given to those who have or are enrolled in classes related to obtaining this position.
