POSITION TITLE: MILLWRIGHT/ GENERAL MECHANIC (DAY WORK)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires intimate knowledge of machining production practices, operating a variety of machine tools to produce parts, modify parts to make or repair machine tools or to maintain industrial machines, by applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repair maintenance activities, equipment inspections, lubrication of equipment, precision measurement, maintenance pumps and bearings, gearboxes and various valves, filters, strainers and steam traps.
Ability to utilize personal computers and databases is desired. Five (5) years of experience is required coupled with a flexible attitude and ability to work closely with others.
Familiar with preventive and predictive maintenance concepts/technologies
Able to read/interpret blueprints, pipe layouts and fabrication design; and be proficient in the use of basic hand and power tools, precision tools, measurement tools, rigging, and possesses functional welding abilities.
Able to Identify, Locate, Order, Manage spare parts as needed
Capability of working in a physically intense environment. Ability to lift up to 74 pounds. This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and climbing.
