    Job Description

    The Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) & Quality Leader will be responsible for applying lean tools and methodologies for continuous improvement in processes and quality systems. Working closely with the site leader, site team, and Division/DC ELS and Quality teams, you will supervise quality and find opportunities at the site to improve processes that will achieve and sustain strategic goals, impact financial results and add value to our customers.

    ELS/CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:

    • Partner with the leadership team to drive value stream, business process and asset level improvements
    • Build process expertise to sustain improvements.
    • Identify and use standard methodology sharing across the division.
    • Work with the Leadership team to develop OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Metrics) for the facility and track progress.
    • Lead the value stream management process, 5S, visual controls, Daily MDI, etc.
    • Solicit voice of customer to continuously evaluate and improve internal business processes, including internal transactional and manufacturing improvements.
    • Improve existing problem solving capability and drive a learning organization that is capable of crafting, acquiring, transferring and utilizing valuable knowledge to meet and exceed business goals
    • Be a change agent – challenge old ways of doing business and implement breakthrough improvements while engaging the workforce in the process

    QUALITY PROCESS:

    • Lead the resolution of customer complaints and continuously improve processes to address customer issues.
    • Lead the Internal Auditing requirements including scheduling, conducting audits and identifying proficiency and training of internal auditing team.
    • Work with Sales, Engineering, and Marketing to resolve product quality issues
    • Lead corrective and preventive action processes, quality system documentation and administration..
    • Compile and report key quality metrics that affect customer happiness.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • HS Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree a plus.
    • 3+ years of validated experience in Quality, applying Lean principles, and improving business and manufacturing processes.
    • Certified Green Belt preferred. Expertise in the use of lean and six sigma tools (in a technical/manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Shown leadership skills – able to influence and motivate others.
    • High Energy, passion for excellence, bias for action.
    • Excellent project management skills.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner.
    • Effective interpersonal skills dealing with people at various levels and in a variety of functions.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead Change.
    • Solid understanding of business issues, metrics, and customer value.
