    WE HAVE A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE CANDIDATE WHO IS INTERESTED IN BEING A PART OF A DYNAMIC HUMAN RESOURCES ORGANIZATION. THE HR ASSISTANT/ADMINISTRATOR REPORTS DIRECTLY TO THE VP, HR AND ALSO SUPPORTS THE DIRECTOR, HR OPERATIONS, AND THE VP, HR ENTERPRISE TALENT MANAGEMENT. WE ARE SEEKING A HIGHLY ORGANIZED AND DEGREED PROFESSIONAL WITH A STRONG COMMUNICATIONS FOUNDATION WHO HAS A STRONG INTEREST IN ALL ASPECTS OF HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION AS WELL AS THE ABILITY TO MANAGE CALENDARS, EXPENSES, AND TRAVEL FOR KEY HR EXECUTIVES.     WHAT IS THE MISSION OF THE HR ASSISTANT/ADMINISTRATOR ROLE? 

    WHILE YOU WILL PERFORM TRADITIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES (SUCH AS EXPENSE PROCESSING, CALENDAR MANAGEMENT, TRAVEL PLANNING AND VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIVITIES), YOUR GOAL WILL BE TO SIMPLIFY AND AUTOMATE THESE ACTIVITIES SO YOU CAN SPEND MORE TIME LEADING KEY PROJECTS AND/OR PROCESSES WITHIN THE HR ORGANIZATION, WHILE ALSO ENHANCING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THIS EXECUTIVE TEAM.  YOU WILL BE A KEY MEMBER OF THE HR TEAM, WITH THE ABILITY TO ANTICIPATE NEEDS AND PROVIDE YOUR GUIDANCE AND EXPERTISE IN THE AREA OF HR ADMINISTRATION.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • MAINTAIN CALENDARS, SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS

    • ARRANGE TRAVEL (DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL)

    • PROCESS AND APPROVE EXPENSE REPORTS

    • FILTER AND PROACTIVELY ACTION SOME EMAILS FOR THE VP, HR

    • PREPARE SPECIAL REPORTS: GATHER, SUMMARIZE AND ANALYZE DATA

    • HR VENDOR MANAGEMENT WITH TALENT ACQUISITION AND LEARNING & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

    • EMPLOYEE FILE MANAGEMENT, INCLUDING MANAGING OFFSITE STORAGE

    • COMMUNICATE WIDELY AND PROACTIVELY WITH THE COMPANY LEADERSHIP TEAM AND THEIR ASSISTANTS 

    • SUPPORT KEY LEADER AD HOC REQUESTS AND PROJECTS

    • PARTICIPATE IN DEVELOPING THE PURPOSE, MESSAGING AND OUTCOMES OF VARIOUS LEADERSHIP TEAM MEETINGS, BUSINESS UPDATES AND TOWN HALL MEETINGS

    • ENSURE THAT MEETINGS ARE PLANNED IN ADVANCE AND THE HR EXECUTIVE TEAM ARE WELL PREPARED  

    • SEEK OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE SPEED, QUALITY AND OTHER OUTCOMES FOR THESE EXECUTIVES AND, AT TIMES, THEIR TEAMS. 

    • BE PREPARED TO SHARE YOUR VIEWS AND IDEAS ABOUT HOW TO IMPROVE

       

    WHILE MUCH OF YOUR TIME WILL BE ACCOUNTED FOR BASED ON THE ABOVE-REFERENCED ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ACTIVITIES, SOME OF YOUR TIME CAN BE DISCRETIONARY WITH YOU PROACTIVELY DETERMINING WHERE AND HOW TO MAKE A BROADER IMPACT AT AVERY DENNISON.

    • BACHELOR’S DEGREE PREFERRED, IDEALLY WITH EMPHASIS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND HUMAN RESOURCES

    • ATTRIBUTES: 

      • TECH SAVVY:  STRENGTH IN GOOGLE DOCS, IPHONE APPS, IPADS AND ABILITY TO LEARN AVERY DENNISON SYSTEMS AND TOOLS QUICKLY. 

      • EXCEPTIONAL ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS - MULTITASKING AND PRIORITIZING ARE KEY. 

      • ABILITY TO NAVIGATE WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION TO GET THINGS DONE, A SELF-STARTER AND A SELF-FINISHER 

      • DETAIL ORIENTED, ENSURING NOTHING FALLS THROUGH THE CRACKS.
