    Job Description Avery Dennison is seeking a Senior Specialist, Digital Communications to develop high-impact internal strategic communications programs to build awareness, adoption and engagement with key technology changes across the company. Reporting to the Manager, Internal Communications, this full-time position is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans for key projects and technology initiatives.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and execute communications and change management programs to optimize the use of digital workplace tools and other key technologies to increase efficiency and collaboration among global Avery Dennison employees.
    • This role will work independently with IT project teams and key stakeholders to build compelling and engaging employee communications around Google Workplace apps, IT and HR Service Platforms, powered by ServiceNow and other high impact IT programs such IT security, integrations, technology upgrades, and the evolution of existing employee-facing technologies.
    • Write, edit, coordinate creative/design and deliver a variety of communications materials, including tips and tricks articles, news and stories on enhancements, FAQs, video scripts, quick reference sheets, web content, communities posts, and presentations.
    • Serve as an advisor to guide the digital advocacy program in partnership with the IT teams
    • Serve as communications partner, providing feedback and recommendations to project teams to help finalize user experience strategy and a change management plan including deployment strategy
    • Use analytics to make informed decisions about content and storytelling and deliver on measurable goals aligned to the digital strategy and specific project goals.
    • Improve presence on intranet portal by crafting compelling content for employees on digital tools and IT initiatives.

    Qualifications EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or equivalent required.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 5-6 years relevant experience, including experience in corporate communications and/or public relations, journalism or change management.
    • 2-3 years of experience working with technology communications in a fast-paced environment
    • Skilled in project management.
    • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Google Apps and digital tools

    OTHER:

    • Outstanding written and oral communications.
    • Understanding of key principles and processes related to end-user communications, including conducting needs assessment and translation of sophisticated technical prose into user-friendly messaging.
    • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
    • Adaptability to quickly change direction; strong workload/resource management, prioritization, negotiation on scope of work.
    • Creative, visual storytelling and video editing skills are preferred
