    We are privileged to be a partner of the DOD's SkillBridge program to aid in the transition into civilian life. Our goal is to deliver you a thorough avionics program focusing on the skills needed to find rewarding employment in avionics installation, configuration, and support roles.

    What You'll Learn & Responsibilities of our Field Service Representatives:

    As a SkillBridge program participant, your first month will center around learning about Avidyne, our manufacturing operations, and internal planning tools and resources. Subsequent months will expose you to the Avidyne family of products, as well as detailed training on their user interface, technical systems, as well as how to install and integrate components. In the final months of your internship, a full-time member of our Technical Support team will mentor you as you apply your knowledge as a Field Service Representative to our customers. 

    In this capacity, you may be able to:

    • Answer customer and installer technical inquiries regarding our products
    • Arrange for repair of customer equipment to be returned to the factory
    • Act as liaison between customer and associates of other departments within Avidyne
    • Monitor, document, and report failure trends in Avidyne equipment.

    The goal of the program is to prepare you for future Field Service Engineering and Customer Support roles within avionics. 

    Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to foster and promote a service-oriented culture
    • Ability to maintain a positive outlook with strong and effective communication skills
    • Broad knowledge of aircraft systems and avionics sub-systems.
    • Demonstrated proficiency using computers and software
    • Ability to component level troubleshoot and repair various avionics systems.
    • Ability to prioritize and handle tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to successfully identify and resolve difficult problems

    Education/Experience: 

    • Associate's degree (or higher). Will consider trade school or military experience in lieu of degree
    • General experience in avionics installation and troubleshooting.

    Other Desirable Skills & Experience:

    • Pilot's license
    • A&P or FCC licenses
    • 4+ years avionics experience within an aircraft maintenance facility and/or an aircraft manufacturing environment
