The B/E Aerospace Summer Intern Program affords students: - The opportunity to learn and gain practical experience in a hands-on environment - The ability to work on projects and programs currently in progress at B/E, which allows the intern to apply knowledge that contributes to the overall business - A competitive salary - Housing assistance (if applicable) - Access to state-of-the-art equipment - Possible future employment JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Major Job Duties, Assignments, Tasks, Projects, etc. - Prepares monthly journal entries, maintains and reconciles general ledger - Function as primary contact for inter-company payables, receivable and expense transfers. - Prepares and completes balance sheet reconciliations. - Assists in the preparation of annual budget files - Assists in the development and documentation of accounting procedures and controls. - Provide monthly Budget to Actual explanations for departmental expenses. - Prepares data and pivot files using Excel. - Creates ad-hoc JDE downloads as required. Minor Job Duties, Assignments, Tasks, Projects, etc. - Assists in SOX compliance audits, internal and external audits. - Gathers and files monthly AMEX P-Card statements - Other duties and projects as needs arise. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum GPA of 3.0 - Completion of sophomore year - Enrollment in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program for the Fall 2019 semester in Finance or Accounting at an accredited universivity PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Demonstration of effective written and verbal communication skills - Ability to function in a team environment with multi-disciplinary members - Previous internships, research or project experience in relevant field is helpful, but not required The above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed descriptions of all the work requirements that may be performed in the job.
