    The Security Assessment Manager / Web Application Security Lead will oversee activities in the areas of: web application security, vulnerability management and security controls assessments to support the business in conducting approvals for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF).

     

    The Security Assessment Manager will:

    • Build a very close working relationship with DevOps, application development and QA teams to build a Secure Systems Development Lifecycle.
    • Conducting system security and vulnerability analyses, penetration testing and risk assessments. Conduct, evaluate, and analyze vulnerability results from assessments, penetration tests, or ad hoc risk assessments from the following set of tools, to include but not limited to: NESSUS, AppDetective, WebInspect, AppScan and Nipper and create POA&M Matrices from results.
    • Conduct and facilitate periodic application security awareness training and workshops. Designing and delivering security training to developers
    • Ensuring acquired or developed systems are consistent with the solution engineering and security architecture guidelines
    • Assess all applicable security controls defined in Sonepar USA Cyber Security Standards applicable for deployed applications and information systems
    • Create and maintain Application Security policies including secure coding policies, procedures and standards, coding standards, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to include necessary security checkpoints, code review methodologies, etc.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 5-7 years of IT Cybersecurity experience
    • 3-5 years specializing in Web Application Security or Security Controls Assessment
    • Technical knowledge of complex enterprise IT systems
    • Knowledge of and experience using relevant cybersecurity and analysis tools such as Archer, Nessus Security Center, Splunk, etc.
    • Experience communicating effectively, both oral and written, with technical, non-technical, and executive-level customers.
    • Experience with Application Security or Vulnerability Management tracking tools such as OWAS DefectDojo or other tools
    • The successful candidate is required to have one of the following certifications: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Web Application Defender (GWEB), or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OCSP)

     

    Desired Skills:

    • Knowledge of NIST Guidelines and FISMA Cybersecurity compliance requirements
    • At least one of the following security certifications: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Web Application Defender (GWEB), or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OCSP)
    • Experience with Power BI
