    POSITION DESCRIPTION

If so, you can appreciate the work of Graphic Packaging Holding Company (NYSE: GPK).  Its operating subsidiary, Graphic Packaging International, LLC (GPI) headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a leading provider of packaging solutions for a wide variety of products from food and beverage to other consumer products companies.  The GPI Corporate Law Department’s summer intern will experience a challenging assignment within an innovative Fortune 500 company. You will be an integral and valued part of a team and gain hands-on experience in areas such as corporate governance, compliance, contracts, intellectual property, employment law, real estate and environmental law.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    • Rising 2L or 3L student preferred.  Degree from an accredited college or university with at least one year of law school.  Must be able to think strategically and implement valuable solutions in the areas of corporate governance and contract review.
    • Must be able to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations and plans of action.
    • Acts with some degree of autonomy, but must exercise excellent judgment in when to consult and seek guidance from supervisors.
    • Self-starter with excellent organizational, communication and process skills with the ability to multi-task and follow through on numerous projects.

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Work with VP, Chief Sustainability Officer to support the Company’s ESG initiatives, including contract and data analysis and coordination of third-party audit requests.
    • Partner with attorneys and staff to respond to external client requests, which may include drafting resolutions, reviewing contracts, retrieving documents, coordinating discovery requests, performing intake for complaints, charges, violations, and infringement allegations.
    • Observe cases in support of the company position to include case valuation discussions, mediations, arbitrations, negotiated settlements, depositions, etc.
    • Provide other legal administrative support for the Law Department as needed.

    DATES OF EMPLOYMENT/POSITION TYPE

    • June 6, 2022 – August 1, 2022 (We can be flexible on the start/end date.)
    • Temporary Position (Intern will work a total of 8 weeks at 32 hours per week.)
