    Operations Associate (Shipper/Receiver Associate I) Location US-CA-Pleasanton Requisition ID 2018-5819.1 # of Openings 1 Category Warehouse/Distribution Overview Bio-Rad is looking for an Operations Associate. Responsibilities Perform various routine physical tasks involved in one or more of the following: receiving, storing, packaging, shipping or distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Perform day-to-day lab management tasks which include: Stock laboratory supplies and reagents Ensure labs are clean and organized to increase efficiency Monitor and evaluate lab equipment, including freezers, refrigerators, cryogenic storage systems, etc. Prepare instruments for shipment for calibration and repair Perform cycle counts and manage lab supplies inventory; assists in conducting complete physical inventory count on an as needed basis Shipping/Receiving: Receives delivered supplies, materials, and equipment; confirms that delivered goods match purchase order specifications of quantity, condition, model number, etc.; completes all necessary paperwork and delivers to end user in a timely manner. Prepare shipments according to documented Shipping Request Forms Coordinate International shipments with freight forwarders to ensure the proper export documentation are in place before the shipment is picked up Perform basic administrative duties including filing, records maintenance and research as required Maintain work and equipment record/documentation via electronic medium Maintains and prepares prescribed records, reports and documentation accurately and neatly. Coordinate International shipments with freight forwarders to ensure the proper export documentation are in place before the shipment is picked up Qualifications Graduation from high school and 1-2 years experience in a computer-aided warehousing operation, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years of relevant work experience (Life Science preferred but not required). Strong team player and detailed oriented. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and vendors. Demonstrated proficiency in following routine written and oral instructions. Demonstrated knowledge of and proficient in applying basic problem solving, planning and work prioritization.
