    Job Description

    The Technical Alliance Leads work with Biogen partner programs to provide technical expertise and ensure operations management to support consistent commercial supply of various biologic molecules manufactured in the Biogen RTP, NC facility. Strategic partnerships are a critical aspect of Biogen’s strategy to supply patients in need with medicine, the Technical Alliance Leads are dedicated to supporting our strategic partners and managing their products manufactured in our facility. The role encompasses technical process knowledge, project management, and relationship management. The intern position will be supporting the TAL group with a project focused on digital platforms and knowledge management, as defined below:

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    As an intern, you will:

    • Implement Digital Partner Platforms
      • Design and set-up virtual TAL world internally and externally with partner relationships.
      • Improve inclusivity within remote working landscape
      • Improve information access between internal and external team members
    • Continue to support and develop standard way of working (business process) within TAL team, including developing business tools such as playbooks, document maps, etc.
    • Identify and suggest changes for harmonization opportunities across partners.
    • Provide technical information to partner programs for drug substance production (process data requests, technical reports)
    • Provide project management support
    • Provide Technical/operations management for commercial biologics products, as needed
    • Support data trending and monitoring of commercial products, including trend reports
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
    • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
    • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Experience in cell culture or purification operations
    • Data trending, analytics and monitoring
    • Speaking and presentation skills
    • Willingness and initiative to interact with internal and external team members
    • Strong digital platform experience
    • Experience with Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, Skype, and Microsoft OneNote a plus

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor’s Degree: Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biology, Life Sciences, Communication/Business
