    Job Description

    The Commercial Learning Partner (LP) applies their learning expertise and business knowledge to develop and deploy a learning strategy which drives performance and measurable business outcomes of field commercial teams. The LP builds and sustains relationships with key stakeholders, serving as a true partner to the business; conducts performance analyses and root cause analyses, communicates insights, and selects appropriate solutions (learning or otherwise) to achieve performance goals. The LP evaluates results against organizational goals, adapting and refining learning plans, as needed.

    The LP for BIR will be responsible for developing the short and long-term learning strategy, tactical plan, and resource model to effectively support the onboarding, knowledge / skill development, deployment and ongoing training of the projected field force teams.

    BIR includes Latin America (LATAM), Asia Pacific (APAC), Japan and the Middle East, Africa, Russia and Turkey (MART).

    Key responsibilities:

    · Cultivate deep business knowledge and partnerships to inform the development of the learning strategy in support of near and long team needs of BIR field teams in a highly competitive market focusing on current and potential launch products

    · Design, develop, and implement cohesive, scalable and sustained learning programs which increase the skills, knowledge and performance of field commercial teams. This includes all new hire training, ongoing and advanced training, product launches, national, divisional, and regional meetings, distance learning programs, instructor-led programs, and other identified training opportunities and methodologies.

    · Build a scalable learning team to meet business demands.  Recruit, hire and develop learning team.  Partner with the business on innovative ways to develop and deliver training.

    · Partner with Global Learning and OE functions to ensure effective manager training, leadership and other development strategies and timelines

    · Ensures ongoing training and development meets current field needs and is delivered effectively using adult learning principles, instructional design principles, and by conducting needs analysis to create critical programs. Drives professional skills development of commercial team members which are aligned to their competencies

    · Partners across the commercial learning team, including account management training team, to ensure a consistent foundational and advance training curriculum for account management roles, where appropriate

    · Work closely with other commercial training team members and field trainers to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

    · Assess learning needs and devise flexible, scalable solutions to create demonstrable business impact. Measure and report results and adapt as necessary

    · Partner with subject matter experts and resources, both internally and externally, to implement and deploy learning solutions

    · Provide administrative oversight, manage budgets and timelines and ensure adherence to all relevant policies and SOPs

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    · 10 – 15 years training and/or commercial experience in industry

    · Adult learning experience preferred with demonstrated success

    ·  Proven success working in a virtual environment strongly preferred

    ·  Experience partnering with multiple countries / affiliates strongly preferred

    ·  Launch experience and in working as part of co-promote strongly preferred

    ·  Strong executive presence and presentation skills to interact appropriately with all levels of  the organization.

    ·   Proven experience fostering team work and collaboration, promotes team work within and  across groups.

    ·   Demonstrated ability to influence others and accomplish goals within a matrixed              environment.

    ·  Understands and implements change strategy; helps leadership navigate change and achieve sustainable performance.

    ·  Results oriented with excellent decision-making skills.

    ·  Ability to build short- and long-term learning strategies that align to business imperatives

    ·   Preferred:  candidate located in the Biogen Intercontinental Region which includes Latin  America (LATAM), Asia Pacific (APAC) or Japan.

     

    Bachelor’s degree required
