Further, GBS will provide further value by developing and delivering a suite of business solutions and support services that are valued by internal customers. GBS will deliver services by leveraging a global delivery model, operational transparency and metrics, leveraging global best practices, and a service-oriented process improvement culture. All solutions will be supported by strong business cases and ultimately monitored for the effectiveness and efficiency against benchmarks and service level agreements. Position Overview The Senior Manager, Sourcing Insights and Analytics, provides operational leadership of a Sourcing Center of Excellence (COE) team that supports Global Procurement, GBS, and the larger organization. The scope and responsibility of this COE includes sourcing project support, systems and data management, and reporting and analytics. This individual will partner effectively with Business partners (customers) to understand their needs, collaborate with GBS leaders to drive continuous improvement, deliver reporting solutions and oversee day-to-day operation of the reporting and analytics service. The individual will also seek to maximize the value delivered by Global Procurement through providing timely and actionable insights to the team. Position Responsibilities • Day-to-day management of Sourcing COE team. • Manage e-sourcing process, ensuring best practices are followed from initial requirements gathering through award decisions and final data capture. • Manage existing Procurement systems, maximize value of data, and propose and implement improvements where possible. • Consult, develop reporting tools and deliver analytics • Leverage strong business acumen to analyze reporting data, draw conclusions, and make/execute recommendations for further analysis or business action • Develop and present impactful recommendations and project conclusions to business functions and leadership who may not have the same background or expertise • Partner with Biogen business leaders to identify opportunities for GBS to deliver business analytics services to the Regions/Affiliates/Functions and manage an on-going project pipeline • Performance Measurement: Develop globally aligned service metrics, scorecards, and other performance measurement metrics to drive rigor and discipline within the team for high performance. • Work with IT Development resources to ensure development of new reports or enhancements to existing reports meet captured business requirements • Act as a champion for data governance to foster consistency in master data and m

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate for the Senior Manager, Reporting and Analytics will have the following experiences:

    ·         Minimum 7yrs relevant experience, including 4+ yrs experience in management/leadership position performing business intelligence work.  Experience with the Source-to-Pay process in a Procurement, Sourcing, and Finance-based role strongly preferred.

    ·         Demonstrated experience in global shared services and/or global business services with environment with proven track record of operational delivery with high degree of customer-focus

    ·         Ability to prioritize complex, competing initiatives – excellence in multi-tasking, problem solving and critical thinking.

    ·         Exceptional analytic abilities, including ability to tell an impactful story leveraging data, metrics, technology, and visualization to establish recommendations and convey conclusions

    ·         Strong interpersonal skills:  Ability to work collaboratively with others from any functional area or background, to influence thinking, and gain acceptance of others.  Ability to work with and through all levels in an organization.

    ·         Self-motivated and capable of operating independently with limited oversight.  Strong sense of personal accountability for work tasks.

    ·         Proven ability to create solid project plans and to manage full lifecycle of project execution with rigor and disciple around deliverable creation and deliverable quality

    ·         Strong verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by solid executive presence, the ability to operate in the details or at executive level, and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. 

    ·         Experience with business intelligence platforms and database tools, including:  Oracle, Microsoft tools, Tableau (or similar).

    ·         Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

    ·         Aptitude for both strategic thinking and detail-oriented operational management

    EDUCATION:

    BS/BA or University degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in a quantitative or STEM-related field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Technology.  MBA preferred.
