    Job Description

    ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Biogen Biomarkers group is seeking a highly motivated Associate research scientist with strong LC-MS skills to support Biogen’s growing neurology pipeline. This scientist will design and validate novel LC-MS assays that will be deployed in early-stage clinical trials to support decision-making across the R&D portfolio. The scientist will be expected to provide technical expertise and be an important scientific contributor both within the Biomarkers group and on cross-functional teams. The scientist will report to a Principal scientist who will provide training and support as needed.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Design, execution and validation of novel LC-MS quantitation methods
    • Antibody-bead conjugation (i.e. biotinylation and streptavidin dynabead preparation)
    • Preparation and analysis of late preclinical and clinical biological samples (CSF, plasma, serum)
    • Communication of results to broader Biomarkers group and cross-functional clinical teams
    • Reagent management and maintenance of laboratory equipment including LC, Orbitrap and QQQ systems

    WHO YOU ARE

You have strong LC-MS quantitation skills (i.e. DMPK, analytical development, proteomics) and want to learn how these technologies provide key decision-making data in a clinical development setting. You can quickly learn and adapt when priorities evolve. You are a clear communicator when relaying results to stakeholders.
