Job Description

Protein biochemist needed to support Biogen’s biologic drug discovery efforts. Candidate should have experience in:

•  protein purification using standard and computer interfaced chromatography systems (e.g. AKTA or similar), and
•  standard protein characterization techniques and bioanalytical methods including, but not limited to SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, analytical size exclusion chromatography, and light scattering.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Biochemistry with 3 years of industry experience or a MS degree in Biochemistry with 1 year of experience.
• Protein Purification experience
• strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• ability to work/collaborate in a multi-disciplined team-based setting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

The successful candidate should be practiced in designing and executing experiments independently and will have contributed to scientific publications. Familiarity with multiple protein expression systems is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates having experience with assay development, protein-protein interaction analysis, and cellular biochemistry.
