Work in Biogen’s Product and Technology Development (PTD) organization engaged in laboratory activities supporting the development and characterization of therapeutic products, manufacturing processes and new technologies.  

POSITION DESCRIPTION  

 This scientific opportunity is with the Cell Line Development designs and constructs expression systems for recombinant therapeutic proteins, generates and screens mammalian cell lines from those expression systems, and ultimately hands-off top cell lines for process development and clinical manufacturing. 

Qualifications

1. Candidate should be curious, driven, able to work independently, and a team player 
2. Experience with molecular biology assays and techniques such as PCR, qPCR, and plasmid preparation  
3. Experience with mammalian cell culture, transfections, and recombinant protein expression

To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
• Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

EDUCATION  

Individuals pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any of the following: Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or Bioinformatics.
