    Job Description

    ABOUT THIS ROLE

    The Sr. Manager of Customer and Market Insights role will be a proactive thought partner responsible for driving insights, understanding of the therapeutic area and brand performance by leveraging both primary and secondary data assets to generate insights and execute projects which produce actionable insights for the business. In this role, you will be responsible for generating insights primarily through HCP/Patient market research, partnerships with other analytical functions (i.e. Advanced Analytics, Multi-Channel Excellence, Patient Services, Field Excellence) and analysis of brand/sales performance data. Ability to formulate and develop hypotheses to drive the business forward aligned to business strategic priorities and goals. 

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Strategic Thinking – able to independently design/identify the ideal approach to answering complex business questions pulling from all available internal/external data sources; able to draft synthesized outputs and drive beyond the raw output of the analysis to actionable insights; anticipates the next question(s) from management
    • Lead and monitor regular performance and prepare monthly insights deliverables, performance updates, and ad hoc analyses to address strategic business questions
    • Collaborate with cross-functional insights partners to support the delivery of US brand leadership needs, including business planning, tactic measurement, and opportunity/lead generation
    • Partner with brand leadership to drive cross-functional alignment on performance insights and recommended actions
    • Strong collaboration with support functions to drive a consistent and holistic understanding of the business

     REQUIRED SKILLS

    • High Analytical Horsepower / Skillset – high comfort sourcing, manipulating, analyzing using basic tools (Excel) and visualizing data via standard tools/charting methods
    • Strong Project / Deliverable Management – ability to deliver complex analytical investigations and cross-functional projects with limited guidance
    • Strong Communication – able to distill complex analyses into meaningful insights and conclusions for executive audiences
    • Independence and Executive Presence – able to manage workload with limited guidance and support in prioritization; high comfort in delivering and defending analyses/recommendations to senior management 
    • Minimum 6 years relevant experience with a life sciences company, or consulting firm supporting the healthcare, biotech or life science industry
    • Experience operating successfully in a complex organizational environment and ability to prioritize workload
    • High Customer Orientation including the ability to reframe business questions with internal customers as a thought partner
    • Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as an innate curiosity which enable clear understanding and application to business need
    • Market research and competitive intelligence background strongly preferred Strong analytical and quantitative skill set high comfort sourcing, manipulating, analyzing data to formulate and address ongoing business analytics and reporting
    • Prior work experience working in therapeutic area with multiple product offerings and ability to navigate through matrix environment and competing priorities is a plus

     

    EDUCATION: B.S. required; MBA preferred
