    Job Description

Job Description This is for a 6-month position from July - December 2021.

Our group is the biostatistics group under ADS supporting clinical development of multiple sclerosis. More specifically, we support compounds targeting on remyelination/neuro repairment. Biostatisticians are involved in every aspect of clinical development, including trial design, study setup activities, drafting analysis plan, readout delivery, preparing CSR and other statistical exploration work. Our goal is to help design trials with our expertise of biostatistics to best investigate compounds and ensure valid interpretation of data so that more patients can benefit from Biogen therapies as soon as possible.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Summer intern will start with reading literatures of missing data including ICH guideline and work on tipping points analysis. Some prior information can be obtained either from literature or exploring Biogen trials. Then we will move forward to theory of principal stratification, including some updated development of sensitivity component, IV and weighting approach. Some theoretical derivation, for example, for sensitivity component and IV may be needed for our specific strata definition. Simulations will be conducted to compare principal stratification methods and other missing data methods, like pattern mixture model; operational characteristics including estimate bias and confidence interval coverage percentage will be reported.
