Work within one of several departments in Biogen’s Product and Technology Development (PTD) organization engaged in laboratory activities supporting the development and characterization of therapeutic products, manufacturing processes or new technologies.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Intern position provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to the process of implementing new technologies into our Manufacturing platforms. Working closely with the Pilot Gene Therapy and Proteins Purification teams.
You will work with Biogen engineer(s) to investigate new single use harvest technologies and assist with the process optimization. You will also perform cost benefit and sustainability analysis across the technologies and designing the manufacturing platform. You will support design optimization through modeling, prototyping, feasibility testing and test method development and validation. Additionally, you will help execute feasibility protocols, organize, and analyze data, and author test reports and presentations.
Qualifications
To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
EDUCATION
Students majoring Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biomolecular Engineering or a related field.
