    Job Description

    This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December 2023. Resume review begins in January 2023

    At Biogen, the North American Facilities Management team is responsible for the daily operation and upkeep of site utilities, building maintenance and general upkeep. The North American Facilities Co-op will provide resource assistance on a variety of facility management and engineering initiatives in addition to supporting capital projects. 

    POSITION DESCRIPTION  As the North American Facilities Co-op, you will provide resource assistance on a variety of facility management and engineering initiatives in addition to supporting capital projects. Responsibilities will include assistance with continual improvement projects, gathering, organizing and filing process and equipment data, execution and support of small projects, and supporting facility maintenance planning. Additional duties may be assigned as youth strengths are defined.

    Additional qualifications for this co-op assignment include: 

    • Student working towards a degree in engineering with some completed coursework in chemical, mechanical or industrial engineering 
    • Must have a technical understanding of equipment and systems 
    • Must be fluent in use of Microsoft Office Programs

     

    Preferred qualifications: 

    • Self-starter that is willing to learn new systems and how the facility works 
    • Experience working with CAD 
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to work as part of a team

     

    To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria: 

    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. 
    • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date 
    • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

     

    EDUCATION 

    Must be currently enrolled as a student in an accredited undergraduate academic program and have completed at least one year of study working towards a degree in engineering with some completed coursework in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
