    Job Description

    Medical device team in Product and Technology Development group of Pharmaceutical Operation & Technology organization of Biogen is responsible for medical device technology and product development to support Biogen commercial and pipeline drug product and clinical development needs.   

    POSITION DESCRIPTION 

    Biogen Medical Device group is seeking a motivated student with proper education background for technical exploration of device options of trans-dermal drug delivery and other route of administration in support of Biogen drug pipeline.  In this role, you are expected to conduct literature research, work with vendors/partners, compare different device possibilities, analyze device design and identify potential risks and issues, and conduct necessary testing and study to produce feasibility assessment.  You are expected to have relevant courses in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering and biomedical engineering, but we expect you to be more a fast learner as there will be a lot of new stuff you have to learn on-the-job.   You will not only accumulate expert knowledge in the specified areas but will also be exposed to the real word device development challenges and issues.

    To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria: 

    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. 
    • Grade point average of 3.2 or higher preferred 
    • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date 
    • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

     

    EDUCATION 

    • Mechanical, Biomedical and chemical engineering major or substantial course works and research experience these area 
    • Junior or above, research experience and graduate student preferred

     

    LOCATION 

    Cambridge, MA 

    Relocation is NOT offered for this position.
