    Division/Department Information: Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences

      

    RESPONSIBILITIES: The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at St. John’s University, NY invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Medicinal Chemistry/Biochemistry starting fall 2022. An earned Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry/Biochemistry is required and post-doctoral experience is preferred.

     

    Responsibilities include establishing an active research program in Medicinal Chemistry/Biochemistry that will attract external funding, mentoring students, and teaching graduate and undergraduate students in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences. All fields of Medicinal Chemistry/Biochemistry and Natural Products will be considered. An excellent startup package is available and a large fraction of the department’s graduate students are supported by graduate assistantships, teaching fellowships and university fellowships.

     

    The Department has 37 faculty with research interests in medicinal chemistry, toxicology, pharmacology, and industrial pharmacy/pharmaceutics. The Department offers both the MS and Ph.D. degrees. Modern instrumentation and AAALAC-accredited facilities are available.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry/Biochemistry
